Experienced Evaluator

I bring twenty years experience as a researcher, internal evaluator, evaluation director, and project manager. I’ve held several leadership positions at organizations such as Boston Children’s Hospital, the YMCA of Greater Boston, the Making Caring Common project, and the City of Cambridge Department of Human Service Programs.

In these roles, I crafted evaluation strategy, designed and managed evaluations, led research and program teams, built data management systems, facilitated change processes, and developed research communications.

I have a deep understanding of how programs and organizations operate across the nonprofit sector. I also know firsthand how challenging it can be to integrate evaluation and data into service delivery, operations, and organizational culture.

Learning Facilitator

Through my experiences as an educator and a psychologist, I know how to guide and facilitate a learning process.

Early in my career, I worked in schools, out of school time and early childhood programs, and the juvenile justice system. Then, I was a counselor in the Boston Public Schools for nearly a decade.

I’ve taught courses in program evaluation and research methods at Boston College, Harvard University, Smith College, and Tufts University. I also served as Guest Faculty in Evaluation at the Institute for Nonprofit Practice.

Currently, I am Adjunct Faculty in Organizational Leadership and Psychology at the William James College Center for Behavioral Health, Equity, and Leadership in Schools, where I teach a variety of courses and workshops for educators about student mental health.

Social Scientist

My undergraduate studies were in anthropology at Haverford College. I earned an Ed.M. and Ed.D. in human development and psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
